Conquering Addiction is an intense, thirteen week Christ-centered repentance and reconciliation ministry and biblical 12-step study that is based on Steps at The Village and taught locally by The Bridge Community Church in Leadington, Missouri.
It is open to anyone at minimal cost and is offered annually. In addition to helping those with addictions, this course has a strong repentance component and is excellent for anyone who desires to root out past sin in their life and learn more about repentance and discipleship.
Conquering Addiction at the St. Francois County Jail
In early 2010, GAP began leading a Conquering Addiction study group for women inside the St. Francois County Jail. The participants are given homework to do each day, and then meet weekly with GAP volunteers who facilitate an in-depth group discussion.
Conquering Addiction at the Farmington Community Supervision Center
Conquering Addiction is offered on-site on a weekly basis to the residents in the Farmington Community Supervision Center. This venue utilizes live teaching as well as video-taped teachings, and the in-depth discussions are facilitated by a team of experienced volunteers who also serve as Volunteers in Correction.
